It’s almost July Fourth, Texas! And to help you celebrate, we’ve put together a list of some of the top firework shows in your area. We hope you have a fantastic Fourth.
HOUSTON AREA
When: Thursday, July 4, from 4 to 10 p.m. (fireworks throughout)
Where: Eleanor Tinsley and Sam Houston Parks—Houston
What: This year’s celebration will include several musical performances—headlined by Jake Owen, NASA demonstrations—complete with real astronauts, food, drinks, lots of fun activities for children and, of course, fireworks. Purchase your tickets online for just $8 each up until July 3. Or buy them for $10 at the gate. Kids under 5 get in for free.
Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular
When: Thursday, July 4, from 7 to 11 p.m. (fireworks at 9:30)
Where: CityCentre—800 Town & Country Blvd.—Houston
What: This year’s event will feature the People’s Choice Band and a 15-minute firework spectacular. The event is free, but parking in CityCentre garages is $10—beginning at 4 p.m.
Tomball July 4th Celebration and Street Party
When: Thursday, July 4, from 5 to 10 p.m. (fireworks at dusk)
Where: Business 249, north of Four Corners—Tomball
What: Tomball’s annual event this year features The Posse, entertaining crowds with Country and Southern Rock music throughout the event. There will be food, a kids’ zone and a tribute to veterans, as well as fireworks. Admission and parking are free!
DALLAS-FORT WORTH AREA
Red, White and Boom on the Bridge
When: Wednesday, July 3, from 6 to 10 p.m. (fireworks at dusk)
Where: Near the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge—Dallas
What: Get ready for food, music and fabulous fireworks that light up the fantastic Dallas skyline at the city’s 4th annual Red, White and Boom on the Bridge. The event is free!
When: Thursday, July 4, from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. (fireworks at 9:30 p.m.)
Where: Fair Park, 1121 First Ave.—Dallas
What: The event will feature food, music, as well as various games and performances at different times throughout the day and fireworks later in the evening. Admission is free!
When: Wednesday, July 3, from 4 to 10 p.m. (fireworks at 9:30)
Where: Addison Circle Park (and city-wide)—Addison
What: for more than 30 years, Addison has hosted one of the top fireworks shows in the country. This year, the event will also feature food, games and live entertainment. Admission is free.
When: Thursday, July 4, beginning at 2 p.m. (fireworks at 10 p.m.}
Where: Panther Island Pavillion, downtown Fort Worth
What: Advertised as the biggest fireworks show in North Texas, Fort Worth’s Fourth will also feature live bands, food, an air show and a range of kids activities throughout the day. Admission is free!
Old-fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic
When: Wednesday, July 3 through Thursday, July 4, beginning at 8:15 p.m. both nights
Where: Fort Worth Botanic Garden, 3220 Botanic Garden Blvd.—Fort Worth
What: Pack a picnic and get ready for an exciting night of fireworks and patriotic music performed by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra. Lawn seating tickets are $25—kinds under 10 get in for free.
