A Quick Look Back on 2018

Veteran Energy had another a great year in 2018. We continued to strengthen our ties in Texas and our commitment to helping support the veterans, military members and their families we are so passionate about.

Florida State University’s Seminole 100 recognized us earlier in the year, honoring Veteran Energy as one of the top 100 fastest-growing businesses owned or led by FSU alumni.

And at about $250,000, we were able to increase the money we gave back to our Affinity Partners in 2018 by 60%. That brings the grand total so far to $573,642.31. And that all goes to help Support Our Heroes.

Our fine Affinity Partners are doing well, too. For instance, The Texas VFW gave out several Teacher of the Year awards, honoring Texas educators who instill a sense of Americanism and patriotism in their students. And they gave out thousands of dollars in college scholarships, among many other things this organization does for veterans and the military community.

Paws for Heroes is a great example, as well. The group matched five new dogs with Texas veterans last year (click here to read their stories). As you probably know, this organization rescues dogs from shelters and then trains them to be companions that help veterans deal with such conditions as PTSD. More matches are soon to come. And we’ll be sure to share their stories, as well as those from our other great partners: Lone Survivor Foundation, Lone Star Veterans Association and Fisher House.

We’re so proud to be able to give back to these Affinity Partners. They’re all doing wonderful things, and Veteran Energy wants to thank them, our customers, vendors, friends and employees for making 2018 great. We’re excited about the year ahead.
