At Veteran Energy, we know the holidays are some of the most important times for veterans, military members and their families. They help make memories. And they bring us all closer together.
So with that in mind and because Halloween is right around the corner, we’ve outlined a few ghoulish October events in Texas we hope you’ll enjoy.
Dallas:
Zombie Safari Dallas—The Zombie Hunt. Hunt infected Zombies, and help save the city at this annual event at Cousins Paintball Dallas on Saturday, October 6, from 7 to 10 p.m.
Halloween Safe-tacular for Kids and Pets. Meet members of the U.S. Army, the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire Rescue on October 28, from 4 to 9 p.m., at Ronald Kirk Bridge and Felix H. Lozada Sr. Gateway. This Halloween event will feature arts and crafts, games, live music, candy and more. This event is free.
Boo on Ballard. Enjoy trick-or-treating, live music and carnival games at this family friendly Halloween event on October 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. See how downtown streets in Wylie (Northeast Dallas) are turned into a “Halloween wonderland.” This event is free.
Fort Worth:
Boo at the Zoo. Entertain yourself and family with Halloween treats, games and animal shows at the Fort Worth Zoo on October 26 – 28.
Treat Street at Fort Worth Stock Yards Station. The historic Fort Worth Stock Yards Station will turn into a trick-or-treater’s paradise for two hours on October 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be candy, pumpkin decorating, a Halloween show, a costume contest and hay rides. This event is free.
Houston:
Houston Halloween Festival. Join fellow Houstonians for an evening of ghosts, goblins, candy and contests on Saturday, October 20, from 5 to 10 p.m., on 19th Street in Houston Heights. This event is free.
Haunted Halloween Party. Hosted by Jack and Jill Houston Chapter Teens, this annual party for high school students takes place on October 27, from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., at the Hermann Park Golf Course Clubhouse.
Go Bananas for a Healthy Halloween. Celebrate a healthy Halloween on October 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Discovery Green. The event will feature fun-filled fitness sessions, music and costume giveaways. This event is free.
