Since its creation more than two decades ago, National Military Family Month each November has become an important way for Americans to show their support for our military families.
On behalf of these families and in honor of National Military Family Month, we thought we’d take a second to highlight a few deals created just for them. Let’s take a look at three.
Westgate Resorts vacations. On November 10, Westgate Resorts will give free vacations to the first 1,500 eligible military members and veterans who fill out the company’s online application. Recipients get their choice of a vacation in Orlando, Florida, or in Las Vegas, Nevada. The offers include lodging and entertainment. But they don’t cover the cost of travel. The company is also planning to offer a 25 percent cut on its best rates after all the Nov. 10 offers have been given out.
Red Roof Inn stays. If you book stays before November 22, Red Roof Inn is offering up to 40 percent off room rates for current and retired military members. And the deals are good up until February 2018. On top of that, Red Roof Inn will be giving away 1,000 free nights to military members and their families as part of the Military Ticket Program.
Deals on movie tickets. Blue Star Theaters is a collaborative effort to build stronger relationships between theater communities and military families. These theaters offer discounted and free movie tickets to military personnel and their families. There are currently 156 theaters taking part in the program in 42 states. Texas has a total of six in Houston, Dallas and Addison. Check out Blue Star Museums, too, for a related offer throughout the Lone Star State.
There are lots of deals being offered this month for military members, veterans and their families. Be sure to take a few minutes and search online, especially for deals being offered on Veterans Day, November 11.
